Cathryn June Norman Armour Roth, 61, departed this life to go home to Jesus on November 19, 2020. She passed peacefully after a short and unexpected illness with loved ones by her side. She was born on November 4, 1959 to the family of Jimmy and Lanell Norman, in Hahira Georgia. The family resided in Valdosta Georgia. In 1964 Cathy moved with her mother and sister to Jacksonville Florida. Later her mother remarried and her new step father Luke adopted her. A 1978 graduate of Edward H. White Senior High School she also attended and graduated from Normandy Beauty College in 1979. During her teens years she studied Dancing and was an accomplished Tap and Ballet dancer. In 1978 she married her love and her friend Gerard (Jerry) Lee Roth. The couple resided in Jacksonville, Florida. In 1980 she gave birth to her first child, Bethany Lynn, Jeremy arrived in 1983 and in 1993 Anna Maria rounded out the family. Her children were a great joy in her life and she treasured each moment with them. In 2013, she became an instant grandmother when Jeremy married Angela (Angie) Blyler who had a daughter Katrina Blyler. In September 2014 her first grand son Wyatt Amos was born, followed by another grandson, Elijah Hiram in August 2016 she highly prized to her grandchildren and spent much time with them. Cathy and Jerry moved to Middleburg Florida in 2013 where she spent time decorating her home and taking care of her two dogs Chloe and Gabby. She enjoyed garage sales, thrift stores and flea markets always looking for a good value on vintage and antique items. During her life Cathy worked many jobs, just a few of which were, Publix, R and D properties, naval supply center on Nas Jax, Dan Taylor services, Associated Certified Appraisers, Gateway Appraisers and after a short break she needed to pass the time so she started working part time at Circle K to keep her busy. Cathy was predeceased in death by her stepfather Luke T. Armour, mother Lanell E. Armour, father Jimmy E. Norman, child Bethany and brother-in-law Mark J. Roth. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her son Jeremy (Angie) Roth, her daughter Anna (Mike) Coon, grandchildren Katrina, Wyatt and Elijah. Stepmother Vivian Norman, one sister Susan (Mike) Grindle, her in-laws Andy and Theresa Roth, 3 sister in-laws, one step sister Penny (Bill) Loden and one step brother Phil (Jackie) Carden. Additionally many cousins, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved her. Anyone who knew her, know she would never stand still, always going or doing something. She enjoyed going to gospel sings, playing bingo, collecting old coins and looking for a log cabin to move to when they “retired”. She attended Saint Matthews and Sacred Heart Catholic Church’s in Jacksonville, and Saint Luke's Catholic Church in Middleburg Florida at different stages of her life. The family visitation to greet friends will be Tuesday November 24, 2020 1pm at Jacksonville memory Gardens funeral home and cemetery located at 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park Florida 32073. The burial will follow at 2pm located at the same address.
