<p>Edna M. Magee, 81, of Middlebury, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Elkhart.</p> <p>Edna was born on December 31, 1938 to the late Lloyd and Bernice (Grove) Borton in Negaunee, MI. She married the love of her life, Robert E. Magee Sr, whom passed away on Oct. 10, 1974. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; brothers, Harold and Dick &ldquo;Sherman&rdquo; Borton and 2 step-sons, Rodney and Bobby Magee.</p> <p>Edna is survived by her children, Daniel (Tina) Magee, David Magee, Shawn Magee and Kim (John) Tholen; stepdaughter, Barbara Sparks; and sister, Shirley Torrence; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.</p> <p>Edna worked in food services at Notre Dame and in Chicago. She was a devout Baptist and loved Christ. Edna enjoyed being outdoors and loved animals particularly dogs. She was an avid reader of the Bible and Mysteries and shopper especially Walmart. Edna enjoyed watching Westerns with John Wayne and Little House on the Prairie on tv. She loved spending time with her family especially around the holidays. Edna was known to be very independent, social and made many friends.</p> <p>A graveside service for Edna will be scheduled at Osceola Cemetery around Memorial Day in 2021 with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating.
