Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother Marilyn Miller, 79 of Nutley, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. Marilyn was born in Newark to the late Mary (Rygiel) and Francis Schaefer. She retired as a medical clerk for Jersey Care in West Orange. Marilyn enjoyed going to church, playing bingo, doing word searches, spending time with her grandchildren and watching football with her family. The beloved wife of the late former Deputy Chief of Newark Fire Department, Robert J. Miller, Marilyn is survived by her children, Robert S. Miller and his former wife Linda, Brian F. Miller and his wife Gabriella, and Michelle S. Miller; a sister, Susanne Schaefer; 5 grandchildren, Gabriel, Nicholas, Ava Marie, Olivia Rose, and Vincent; and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Leon Schaefer. The funeral will be on Wednesday, November 25th at 8:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre Nutley. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30am. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24th from 4-7pm.
