Freddie Dwain Wells Obituary

Freddie Dwain Wells, 75, of Dover, died Friday, November 20, 2020, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.  The son of George and Dora Ann (Yow) Wells, he was born December 14, 1944, in Dover.  He was a motor grader operator in road construction with Pope County.  Freddie enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting, putt-putt golf, playing cards, watching television, especially westerns & rodeos, and otherwise just spending time with friends & family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathy Brown; two brothers-in-law, Stanley Shuffield & John Claude Sanders.

He is survived by his former spouse, Brenda Wells-Pentz of Dover; a daughter, Tammy Wells of Dover; his granddaughter Hollie Gillispie (Andrew) of Dover; two sisters, Wilma Rentfro & Marie Sanders; three brothers, George Odell Wells (Lea), James Rufus Wells (Louise) & Caroll Wells (Nila); his sisters-in-laws, Rutha Freeman (Bob), Carolyn Lee (Mike), Donna Shuffield & JoAnn O’Neal (Jim); special adopted members of his family, Donna Sue & David Branch and Bobby & Carla Fillion; and many other relatives.

Private family funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Freeman and Rev. Greg Proctor officiating. A live-stream telecast of the service will be provided for other family and friends.  Burial will be at Owens Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service.
