Genevieve B. Jaacks (nee Szczepaniak), age 95, of Atco, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday November 21, 2020. Beloved wife of the late William Jaacks. Loving mother of Jennifer (Bill) Laute, Ushler (Brenda) Jaacks, Christopher (Patty) Jaacks, William (Jeanne) Jaacks, and Kathryn (Ed) Siranosian. Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 7. Dear sister of Lil Kubiak and the late Ed Sepanik. Genevieve (“Jean”) was born in Chicago, IL, and she proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. She and William started their family in NJ, later moving to NY. Genevieve was engaged in various school and community causes, but she was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother first and foremost, supporting her family and taking pride in their many endeavors and accomplishments. In retirement, Genevieve was a longtime resident of the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, NJ, before recently relocating to Atco, NJ. An avid quilter and painter, Genevieve also enjoyed bowling, playing tennis, and going on casino bus trips. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 9:30 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Interment with military honors will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in her name be sent to Samaritan Hospice or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
