Dennis "Denny" Dean Strommen, 75 of Forest City, died peacefully Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Denny Strommen memorial fund in care of the family. Dennis Dean Strommen was born June 10, 1945, the son of Arthur and Lawisa (Brady) Strommen. He attended Forest City Community Schools, graduating in 1963. On March 7, 1964 he married Patricia Benson at the United Methodist Church in Forest City, Iowa. Denny owned G and H Motor Parts until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and family vacations. Family was important to Denny and he enjoyed the moments he spent with them, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Denny is survived by his wife, Pat Strommen of 56 years; three children, Kris (Mark) Johnson of Forest City and their children, Sarah, Nicholas and Zachary, Pam Krein and her children, Miranda, Magan, Cameron Batchelor, Mitchel and Vanessa Van Slyke, Brian (Allison) Strommen and their children, Dillion, Kyra and Sophia and step-mother, Norma Strommen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Shook.
