After a relatively short battle with cancer, Richard (Dick) Seibert of Glenmoore PA passed away  peacefully on November 21, 2020.

The son of the late Charles and Mildred (Cole) Seibert, Richard grew up in Downingtown across the street from what is now the STEM Academy.  An engineer by trade, Richard was always the guy with the tools and the knowledge to fix whatever needed fixing.  He was the one person for whom family, friends, and neighbors called when something broke, when the car wouldn’t start, or if there was a home improvement project to be undertaken.  He loved taking road trips, playing a variety of instruments, watching his family play and coach soccer, and doing his part to get out of escape rooms.  He also enjoyed “meat pie” (with plenty of extra crust), NASCAR, and his cats.

Richard was the loving husband of Patricia (Matulay) Seibert who passed away in 2015. He is survived by his sons Stephen and Jeffrey (husband of Karen) and two grandchildren, Kayla and Christian.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 25, from 10:45-11:45 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave. Downingtown, with a service outside under a tent to follow at noon.  Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine Twp.

Fully understanding the challenges that COVID has presented with travel and gathering, we will also live stream the services. The link to view the live stream is available at the top of this page.

In lieu of flowers, we invite donations to your favorite cancer charity, or to EBYA Soccer, since he was a devout fan on the sidelines in all kinds of weather for more than 25 years.

Please Note: To align with the Governors guidance and protect the health of those in attendance, we strongly encourage that social distance be maintained and face coverings be worn while attending the services for Richard. Limitations on the number of guests in the funeral home at one time will be monitored by funeral home staff. Thank you for your understanding.
