Judy McDowell Logan, age 85, passed from this life on Friday, November 20, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 25, 1935 in Sewanee, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon ‘Peanut’ McDowell and Ruth Steed McDowell, of Winchester, Tennessee; husband Thomas M. Logan of Winchester, Tennessee; stepson Stephen Logan (Julia Logan-Mayes spouse) of Tullahoma, Tennessee and grandson Ryan Thomas Logan of Tullahoma, Tennessee;  sisters Jane McDowell McSurdy of Key Largo, Florida; Gladys “Tissie” McDowell Watley of California. Her sister Mary “Messie” McDowell Russell currently resides in Coquille, Oregon.

Judy’s children include Allison Tate Arnold of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Nelson Steed Tate of Winchester, Tennessee, Ceree Tate Eberly of Atlanta, Georgia; and Lessie Tate Miller (James Miller spouse) of San Jose, California.  Her grandchildren include Derrick Arnold (Sarah spouse), Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Matthew Arnold, Decherd, TN; Trent Logan, Shelbyville, Tennessee; Tyler Eberly, Monterey, California; Beck Miller, Santa Monica, California.

Judy graduated from Franklin Country High School in 1953 and attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee.  She worked for Elk River Public Utility District in Winchester, Tennessee, for over 23 years until her retirement.  She was a life-long member of the 1st Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Winchester, Tennessee.
