Norma Lee Meacham

Norma Lee (Gay) Meacham, daughter of the late Don and Beulah (Stopher) Gay, was born September 21, 1932, near Gazette, Missouri, and passed away November 20, 2020, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 88 years, 1 month, and 30 days of age. Norma grew up in Wellsville, Missouri, and graduated from Wellsville High School. As a child at home, Norma enjoyed training, grooming and riding the family’s horses. After high school she moved to St. Charles, Missouri and worked for the telephone company for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in oil paintings. Later, she married Warren Meacham. She also worked in health care as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes as well as home health care. Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Meacham, two brothers, Don and James Gay, and one sister, Sybil Howell. She is survived by two brothers, Ralph Gay and his wife, Natalie, of Springfield, Illinois, and Ray Gay of Manchaca, Texas, and one sister, Dorothy Zumpano of Santa Clara, California.
