Kathleen "Kathy" Crabb Zuk Obituary

Kathleen J. "Kathy" Zuk, age 76 of Hastings, died peacefully following an extended illness on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Kathleen Janet, the daughter of John and Lettie (Grimes) Hennessy, was born on October 19, 1944, in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Kathy attended Eddison High School and graduated with the class of 1962. In 1968, she was united in marriage to Ival Crabb and they later divorced. Kathy was a longtime daycare provider in the Minneapolis area for over twenty-five years. She then became a nanny for various families until officially retiring. Caring for children was her true passion, and kids absolutely loved being around her. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed camping, traveling with her family, dancing, and shopping. No matter what the reason, Kathy was always there to help someone in need, which led her to also be a foster parent for many years. Most of all, she was always an upbeat, happy, and caring person whenever you saw her. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, John Hennessy, Jean Ruff, and Margaret in infancy; and by her godson, Mike Weglarz. Kathy is survived by her children, Ivy (David) Clark, Rodney (Tina) Richardson, and Jill (Paul) Crabb Owen; grandchildren, Ashley (Garren) Wentzel, Jamie (Jackie) Clark, Jesse Clark, Derrik (Sam) Richardson, Mackenzie Richardson, Hailee (Pedro) Pacheco, Paul Pacheco Jr., and Javier Pacheo; great grandson, Theodore Clark; siblings, Joan (Terry) Weglarz and Joe (Barb) Hennessy; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A private family service will be held, with a public Celebration of Kathy's Life being held when restrictions allow at a later date. Please continue to check the funeral home's website for updated information. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
