Robert Edward "Bob" Hamann Obituary

Robert Edward "Bob" Hamann, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Peotone, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Bob was born in Crete, Illinois on September 18, 1935 to the late Edward and Eleanor (Neitzel) Hamann. He was an avid card player and enjoyed all sports, especially horseshoes, bowling and fishing. Bob was generous with his time and resources. He will be remembered as a man of faith who loved spending time with his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol (Miller) Hamann; daughters, Christine Younker (Gene) of Peotone, IL, Mary Crowe (Ken) of Manteno, IL, Nancy Herrin of Hattiesburg, MS, and Robbie Hamann (Samuel) of Celina, TX; son, Jim Hamann (Marcie) of Peotone, IL; step-daughter, CJ Strupp (Steve) of Wadesville, IN; step-sons, Charles Mazzacavallo (Michala) of Braidwood, IL and Ken Jones of Augusta, GA; sister, Ginger Buikema (Bob); 13 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and by several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Church of the Harvest, 7825 Oak Hill Rd., Evansville, IN 47725.
