David B. Stephens, 44, passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. David was born in New Brunswick. He has been a lifelong resident of Edison and attended Edison HS and graduated in 1994. He worked for the Insulators Union #32 in Highland Park for over 24 years. He volunteered as a softball coach for the Edison Midtown Softball League. He also enjoyed fishing, range shooting, camping and kayaking. David was a motorcycle and sneaker enthusiast. He was predeceased by his father, Glenn B. Stephens (2019); and his brother, Lee A. Stephens (2015). He is survived by his mother, Barbara Stephens of Edison; mother of his children, Sandra Stephens of Edison; his two daughters, Marlee Rose and Leigha Hoppe; his brother, Russell and his wife Heather of Scotch Plains; his loving girlfriend, Jennifer DAmbrosio of Edison; his best friend, Zachary Hoppe of Edison; an uncle, Robert Hala and his wife Judy of Edison; his nephew, Ryan; and cousins, Robert Jr. and Scott. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm with a service at 8:30pm at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave (Rt,27), Metuchen. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Davids memory may be made to Edison Midtown Softball at 14 Glenville Rd. Edison, New Jersey 08817.
