David Franklin Mooney

David Franklin Mooney, age 57, of Loxley, AL, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on November 19, 2020 at USA Medical Center in Mobile. He was born in Montgomery, AL on August 10, 1963. David was a former service advisor for Howard Bentley and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid Alabama football and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed doing yard work and dirt track racing. David was a former umpire and coach for youth teams at the South Lincoln ballpark. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Mooney, and the family dog, Bandit. Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife: Kelly Bowman Mooney of Loxley, AL; parents: Billy & Margie Mooney of Fayetteville; daughter: Katie Mooney of Loxley, AL; son: Nate Mooney of Loxley, AL; sisters: Cindy Mooney (James) Jean of Athens, AL, Mitzi Mooney (Richard) Howell of Fayetteville and Marcie Mooney (John) McAlister of Fayetteville; three nieces and four nephews. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating.
