<p>Rev. James Phillip McCall, age 65, of Union Mills, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He was born in Polk County on July 13, 1955 to the late Martha Garrett McCall and Billy Phillip McCall.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Rev. McCall had ministered for over 40 years and had pastored many local churches. He also served as a janitor and bus driver at Eastfield Global Magnet School and McDowell High School. He was very devoted in all he did, and he will be remembered for helping others. Rev. McCall truly loved his family, and he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Robinson McCall; his son, James Andrew McCall (Brandi); four grandchildren, Brandon McCall (Kolby), Daniel McCall, Elijah McCall, and Jazmine McCall; one great grandchild, Nail-eli Paris Faye McCall; and two sisters, Wanda Gorges (Dennis) and Sandra White (Bruce).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A memorial service to celebrate Rev. McCall&rsquo;s life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Pinnacle Christian Church on Pinnacle Church Road, Nebo, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pinnacle Christian Church.</p>

Rev. James Phillip McCall, age 65, of Union Mills, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.

 

He was born in Polk County on July 13, 1955 to the late Martha Garrett McCall and Billy Phillip McCall.
