Mary Louise (Schaufele) Burley Age 100 of Owosso passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Pleasant View. A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, November 28,2020 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm. The service will be live streamed on Nelson-House Funeral Home Facebook page. Louise was the daughter of Roy and Dorothy (Cords) Allen born in Rush Twp, Michigan on May 4, 1920. She married Frank K. Schaufele in Owosso on September 25, 1941; he predeceased her on April 7, 1986. She later married Cleon Burley in Owosso on May 7, 1999; he predeceased her on June 28, 2011. Louise worked at Redmonds and G.C. Murphy in Owosso for several years. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Owosso. She was an avid square dancer, having danced in four international square dance conventions. She was a life member of the Owosso V.F.W. Post 9455 Auxiliary, a past member of the Owosso Eagles, Aerie 851 and the C.B. Radio Club. Louise is survived by her sons, Frank (Virgie) Schaufele and Charlie (Linda) Schaufele; grandchildren, Mike (Myra) Schaufele, Brian Schaufele, Daniel Hayes, Richard Hayes, Julie Glenz, Monica (Garrett) DeWyse and Eric (Stacy) Schaufele; several great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey Allen; sister, Dorothy Scherer; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Hayes; brothers, Elmer, Jim and Alvin; sister Charlotte Howard and a grand-daughter, Scheryl Hayes.
