Gastonia, NC Yolanda Stokes Huffstetler passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 61. Born in Greenville, SC on November 16, 1959, Yolanda was the daughter of the late James Raymond Stokes and Maxine Rebecca Stewart Stokes. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister. Yolanda was a longtime employee of Covenant Village. She loved spending time with her girls, grandchildren, her animals, and at the beach. She also enjoyed watching her soap operas, getting her nails done, going shopping, and Little Debbie Chocolate Christmas Tree Cakes! Everyone always looked forward to her banana pudding and macaroni and cheese. Yolanda was a loving wife, mother, nana, and sister and will be greatly missed by her husband of 36 years, Mark K. Huffstetler; daughters, Winter Barneycastle and husband, Eric of Gastonia, Heather Bame and husband, William “Billy” of Gastonia, and Amanda Johnson and husband, Jason of Mt. Holly; six grandchildren, Maximus “Max” Barneycastle, Harper Barneycastle, Cameron Bame, Caitlyn Bame, Harmony Lingerfelt and Gage Johnson; step-grandchild, Conner Johnson; son-in-law, Chey Lingerfelt; beloved dog, Bella and cat, Baby; three brothers and one sister.
