<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Robert David Moranino of Torrington, CT passed away peacefully at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by his loving family who will miss him dearly.&nbsp; Robert was born May 29th,1957 in Torrington to Orlando and Rose (Silano) Moranino.&nbsp; He graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical School before enlisting in The United States Air Force settling in Denver, Colorado after discharge where he worked on The Flight for Life Team based in St. Anthony&#39;s Hospital for fifteen years.&nbsp; Missing his family, he made&nbsp;his way back to Connecticut where he worked for Honeywell and Waterbury Hospital.&nbsp; Robert enjoyed all outdoor activities mainly camping, biking and especially fishing but most of all he cherished&nbsp;every moment he spent with his family, especially his children who he loved very much. He will be remembered most of all for his kindness and empathy for others.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Besides his parents, Robert is survived by his children, David Moranino of Winsted, Alexis and Nicole Moranino of Torington and Marlene Moranino the mother of his children.&nbsp; He also leaves his sister Linda Paganini and husband Martin of Torrington, nephew Brian Paganini (Lindsay) and niece Kara Muth (Michael) of Harwinton.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thank you to Dr. Ashita Talsania, Hartford Health Care&nbsp;Hospice, staff of Charlotte&nbsp;Hungerford Hospital 5th floor, Litchfield Woods Health Care Center and a special thank you to Jacquie and Alex Renkowsky for their kindness, support and care over the years.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Friday, November 27th at St. John Paul The Great Parish, Saint Peter Church in Torrington.&nbsp; There are no calling hours.&nbsp; Arrangements are entrusted to Phalen Funeral Home.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorial contributions can be made to either Hartford Healthcare at Home, Veteran/Direct Hospice Care, on line or The Little Guild Animal Rescue, 285 Sharon Goshen turnpike, West Cornwall, CT 06796</p> <p>Online memorials www.phalenfuneral.com&nbsp;</p>

Obituary
