Obituary

Esterina Francesca (Giorgio) Larsh, 69, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  She was born Wednesday, January 31, 1951 in Messina, Sicily to the late Frank P. and Tindara (Princiotto) Giorgio.  She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dr. W. Gregory Larsh.

She graduated from Reading High School in 1969 and spent most of her professional life in companion care.  She enjoyed reading and sharing her literary journeys with friends and strangers both near and far.  She was amazing at being “present” as an encourager and comforter.  She loved being a mother and grandmother and was the bond that held the family together.  Most of all, she lived her life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Her selfless love and compassion for all will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer A. Larsh and significant other Christopher Posch of Reading, Jessica E. Black of Harrisburg, and Brittany J. Jacoby of Palmyra; two granddaughters, Vivian Grace Jacoby and Juliet Francesca Posch; three brothers, Michael Giorgio and wife Arlen of Lebanon, Tindaro Giorgio and wife Linda of Reading, and Carl Giorgio and wife Cheryl of Bethel; a sister, Maria Henderson and husband Gene of Reading; a sister-in-law, Shelley Giorgio of Rehrersburg; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Giorgio.

Family and friends are invited for viewing on Tuesday, November 24th from 4-7 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.  A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 25th at 10 AM at Grace Point Evangelical Free Church, 740 Leon Avenue, Palmyra with Pastors Dave Martin and Bob Sproul officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23453 or online at www.operationsmile.org.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.finkenbinderfamily.com
