Nancy Jane (Radcliffe) Anderson age 74 died November 17th, 2020. A warm, kind, beloved light has gone out, but only here on Earth. Nancy was born May 13th, 1946, the daughter of Robert B. Radcliffe and Rosemary P. (Garner) Radcliffe. Nancy grew up in Excelsior, WI and graduated from Blue River High School. She attended the Richland County Teachers College and it was there that she met her husband, Robert “Bob” W. Anderson, whom she married on August 6th, 1966. She went on to earn her teaching degree at UW – Platteville in 1968. She taught for 43 years, starting in Spring Green and ending her career in Richland Center at Jefferson Elementary School, retiring in 2011. She and Bob moved to Mosinee, WI in 2016 to live near their only child, Tricia (Jason) Hraby and their 2 grandchildren, Jillian Rose age 13 and Nicklas James Robert age 12. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia “Pat” (Eric) Johnson and her parents. Nancy is survived by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and her two grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Roselynn Morsi (Kamal – deceased) of Londonderry, NH, her cousins Joanne and Susan Garner of AZ, her sister-in-law Donna (Dick) Messerschmidt of Hillpoint, WI, and brother-in-law Andy (Suzanne) Anderson of Ithaca, WI, plus many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy was a wonderful friend, a devoted Christian, a dedicated teacher, and an amazing grandmother. She was artistic and smart, had an eye for fashion and antiques, was a tireless shopper, and so very funny. She touched many lives through her work as a teacher and her friendships. Nancy was very close to her family, including her extended family. She made everyone feel warm and loved. As Bob says, she was something special. She will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center. Pastor Leland Schmitt will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring with a Celebration of Life.
