Darla Ann Fausett passed away in Rockford, Illinois on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 74. Darla was born in Rockford, Illinois on December 30, 1945 to Cletice and Hazel (Sawyer) Templeman. She loved animals, enjoyed baking, doing puzzles and reading. Darla will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh.

Darla is survived by her six children; Greg (Laurie) Mitchell, Thomas “Mitch” (Richard Deming) Mitchell, Annette (Ed) Markison, James Fausett, Raeann (Tim) Austin and Rebecca (Chris) Dahm; six grandchildren, Gregory, Phillip, Gabrielle, Emily, Erica, Isabella and Christopher; one great-grandchild, Aiden; brothers, Roger (Marlene) Templeman, William Templeman, Cletice (Rhonda) Templeman; four sisters, Thelma (Harold) Clark, Shirley (Gene) Martens, Beverly Kohr, and Renee’ (Tom) Mauling and many nephews and nieces. Darla is predeceased by her parents, Cletice and Hazel Templeman; Emil Mitchell (father of Gregory and Thomas), Vernon Fausett (father of Annette, James, Raeann and Rebecca); sisters, Pauline (Delbert) Harris, Nadine (Lyle) Lowtharp, and Donna (Joe) Turner.

Darla’s children wishes to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice, Nelson Debe’s; Heritage Woods; Dr. Nafsi; Dr. Worthington and his staff -  Rose and Diane; and Dr. Deming for their wonderful care; her neighbors; her sister, Renee and other sisters for their care and support; and a very special thanks to her loving brother and his wife, Cletice (Rhonda) Templeman for their selflessness and years of ongoing care.

Darla desired to be cremated with no services. She did not want us to mourn her death, but to celebrate her life. She was loved very much and will be missed by all of her family and friends. A celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to:  Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.
