Graveside services for Evelyn Self Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Rene’ Carmouche officiating. A visitation will be observed at Hixson Brothers Pineville from 9:30 a.m. until shortly before the time of service. Evelyn Self Brown, 82, of Pineville, passed from this life on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at her residence. Pallbearers honored to serve are Alex Rivera, Scott Shaw, Jadan Rivera, Jacob Lanier, Andy Calhoun, Ben Calhoun and Ward Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Waites and Kade Stephens. Evelyn was an active member of Solid Ground Worship Center, Ball. During her working career she was a Telephone Operator and Trainer for South Central Bell Telephone Company. She enjoyed fishing and cooking for and spending time with family and friends. Evelyn was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Hershel L. Brown; son, Laron K. Brown; brothers, Roland Self, Pink Self and Dunnam Self; sisters, Janice Bonner and Ann Bonner and her parents, Oscar G. and Lucy Haymon Self. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Lyndal Brown and wife, Natalie; daughters, Lorie Brown and Louellan Brown Danielson and husband, Gary; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Edith “Happy” Cole and June Cockerham and a host of other family members and friends.
