John E. Stoner

John E. Stoner, 72, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, November 19th, 2020 at his home. He was born in Lewistown on November 22, 1947 to the late John and Virginia (Horning) Stoner. John was a long-time hair stylist at Hair Visions, Harrisburg and worked part time at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Camp Hill. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg and a big Penn State fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Walt and Lee Stoner. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Dixie Stoner; niece, Linda Fread; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 7 P.M. at the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home. There will be an evening viewing from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. In keeping with current health guidelines, attendees are encouraged to exercise proper precautions including the wearing of face coverings and appropriate social distancing.
