William Hester Jr

William Hester Jr, age 70 of Estill Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St Thomas Midtown Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Normandy on January 28, 1950. Before his retirement, William had been employed at Tullahoma Floor Covering and The Car Store before retiring from IWS. In his younger years, he liked to fish and hunt. An avid coffee drinker, he enjoyed working on cars and collecting coins. William left a lasting impression on everyone he met and loved to make others laugh. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Interim Pastor and drove the church bus. William was preceded in death by his father, William Hester; sister, Barbara Halpin; brother, Jesse Hester; and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Wanda Hester of Estill Springs; son, William Mathew (Olivia) Hester of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Crystal Barrett, Kiera Hester, Christian Bryant, Braxton McDaniel, and Ashlynn Hester; great-grandchild, Carson Barrett; and brother, Johnny Hester of Tullahoma. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
