Gloria June Daugherty Brown<br />Age 77 passed away November 20, 2020 from lung cancer in Sand Springs OK. <br />She was born in Oklahoma City, OK and lived her childhood near 74th and Post Road in far Eastern Oklahoma City. Her family had lived in the same area since the late 1800's.<br /><br />She was a resident of Oklahoma City, Del City, Choctaw, Yukon, and Moore, OK. The last 5 years she moved close to her daughters in the Tulsa area. She attended Rose State College and Midwest City High School. She was a stay at home mom, Action 100 Realtor, and then worked for Hudiberg Chevrolet for 18 years before retiring. She was a 53 year member of First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, OK and loved to read her bible. She attended Sand Springs United Methodist Church while living in Sand Springs. She had many friends in the Harmony Class and was so thankful for their friendship and kindness. She loved to shop and eat out when she could with family.<br /><br />She was married in 1991 to the late Mike Brown for 16 years. They enjoyed living on their land gardening, bird watching, and going to garage sales. He was the love of her life. She adored her grand and great grand children, dogs and cats. Humming birds were one of her favorite birds. She loved to sit and watch them at the feeders.<br /><br />She is survived by her three children: Carol and David Barfield of Broken Arrow, OK, Lisa and Daniel Comer of Sand Springs, OK, and Joseph Daugherty (and partner Sheila) of Minco, OK. Grandchildren: Stephanie and Seth Rowan, Amanda and Nathan Reagan, Sophia Comer, John Daugherty and Kaylee Daugherty. Great grandchildren: Scarlett Reagan, Natalie Rowan, Jemma Reagan and Andrew Rowan. Her late parents Eugene and Thelma Williams. Siblings: Sheila Burks and (partner Pal) of Norman, Bill and Shirley Williams of Choctaw, Linda and Roy Tritten of Norman, and Loretta Teal of Florida. She was preceded in death by brother Roy Williams of Midwest City, OK. She had a large family of nieces, nephews, and cousins that she thought the world of . <br /><br />A memorial service is to be determined at a later date due to the Covid pandemic.<br /><br />In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the non-profit Porta Caeli Hospice House, which is located at 2440 N Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74158, in her name. She spent her final days there and they took amazing care of her. We are thankful to them and St Francis Hospice for the care she received.
