Mrs. Lavaughn Prevette Mayberry Johnson, age 82 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist- Wilkes Medical Center.

A private family service will be held.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 25, 1938 in Wilkes County to Mack Prevette and Lela Dillard Prevette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Evelyn Prevette; two brothers, Kenneth Prevette and Alton Prevette.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Mayberry Hall and husband Bert of North Wilkesboro and Loretta Mayberry Wagoner and husband, Robert of North Wilkesboro; a son, Keith Mayberry and wife Angela of Wilkesboro; eight grandchildren, Clark Mayberry and wife Kandace, Elizabeth Trivette and husband Jason, Charlie Mayberry, Ashley Hall, Brookelynn Hall, Junior Wagoner, Olivia Wagoner, and Deana Broyhill, eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Ena Johnson of North Wilkesboro; three brothers, Don Prevette, Sabert Prevette both of North Wilkesboro and Bryce Prevette of Harmony.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilkes County Aphasia Project 310 Finley Ave. North Wilkesboro, NC  28659.
