<p>Jason Taitague, 43, of Newport, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Carteret Health Care.</p> <p><strong>A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Thomas Davis. Friends are welcome to attend the service. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, there will be a limit to the number of people in the building at one time, as well, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Help us honor the family while practicing safe measures. Friends are also encouraged to leave words of comfort to the family through the website. (See link below for the Service Bulletin including the Order of Service.)</strong></p> <p>Jason was born on August 25, 1977, in San Diego, California, to Rudy and Rosalind Taitague. He was a hard-working man who kept busy with his work at Auto Bright as a Lube Technician and as a cashier at Jim Dandy. Jason had a wonderful sense of humor and loved using his whit to make people laugh. He was an amazing man that many would describe as a “wholesome, overall good person”, and he was always willing and ready to help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing and being near the water.
