Henry Lee Schoolcraft, Sr., 64, of Rittman, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020 at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 17, 1956 in Clay Co., WV to the late Robert and Ruby (Ramsey) Schoolcraft and married Norma J. Truman on Jan. 3, 1980.  He had worked at Plasti-Kote in Medina and had previously worked in the timber business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping but his favorite thing was spending time with his grandkids.

Surviving are his wife, Norma of 40 years; children, Henry II (Sarah) Schoolcraft, Amanda Schoolcraft, Roger Hamrick, Tonya Hamrick, and Ronnie Hamrick all of Rittman, Walter Hamrick of Columbus and Greg Hamrick of Medina; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Bobby; sisters, Bonnie, Barb, Betty and Sylvia and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pamela Dawn and sisters, Phyllis, Joyce, Emmy and Leathie.

Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Henry’s final resting place will be at Sunset Cemetery in Clay, WV.  Donations may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
