Ruben Rico Macias

Ruben Rico Macias, nació en San Julian, Jalisco, México, el 7de Marzo de 1939. De ojos verdes tapatíos y una voz como ninguna otra, que sonara por siempre en los corazones de todo aquel que alguna vez lo escucho cantar. 

Hijo de Jesus Rico y Maria de la Luz Macias, el segundo de once hijos, fue un hombre humilde, trabajador y generoso, bendecido en todos sus caminos por la gracia de Dios. Nos ganó la carrera de la vida el día 14 de Noviembre del año 2020. El contagio por el virus COVID-19 fue su boleto al cielo. Las historias que siempre contaba, eran grandes ejemplos de su fuerza y valor, y así lucho hasta su ultimo latido. 

Desde los 7 años de edad vivió en Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, donde conoció al amor de su vida, Maria Rico, en sus propias palabras “la mas bonita de todas”, se casaron el día 5 de Octubre de 1963, y tuvieron la dicha de compartir 57 años de matrimonio. La deja en compañía de 11 hijos, Gloria, Ruben, Norma, Elvia, Javier, Jose Juan, Laura, Refugio, Angelica, Jorge, Lucy, 37 nietos y 5 bisnietos en quienes su recuerdo quedara vivo gracias a ese espíritu travieso que lo caracterizaba.

Con gran dolor en nuestras almas, nos despedimos de este hombre maravilloso el día 23 de Noviembre en el Memorial Cemetery. Sabemos que fue llamado ante la presencia de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo donde todo es perfecto y maravilloso. Descanse en paz, por siempre lo amaremos.

Ruben Rico Macias, was born in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico, on March 7, 1939. With beautiful green eyes and a voice like no other, that will forever sound in the hearts of everyone who ever heard him sing.

Son of Jesus Rico and Maria de la Luz Macias, the second of eleven children, he was a humble, hard-working and generous man, blessed in all his ways by the grace of God. He won the race of life on November 14, 2020. The contagion by the COVID-19 virus was his ticket to heaven. The stories he always told were great examples of his strength and courage, and so he fought until his last beat.

From the age of 7 he lived in Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, where he met the love of his life, Maria Rico, in his own words "the most beautiful of all," they were married on October 5, 1963, and had the joy of sharing 57 years of marriage. He leaves her in the company of 11 children, Gloria, Ruben, Norma, Elvia, Javier, Jose Juan, Laura, Refugio, Angelica, Jorge, Lucy, 37 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren in whom his memory will remain alive thanks to that mischievous spirit that characterized him .

With great sorrow in our souls, we say goodbye to this wonderful man on November 23 at Memorial Cemetery. We know that he was called before the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ where everything is perfect and wonderful. Rest in peace, we will love you forever.
