Alain Belanger

Alain Belanger passed away peacefully July 23, 2016 after a short but brave battle with cancer. Alain was born in New Westminster on May 12, 1952. He moved to Salmon Arm and settled in to Lynndale Lodge in 1975. He is predeceased by his parents, Joesph and Louise, his brothers Leo, Wilfred and sister Maria. He is also predeceased by his Lynndale Family, Carol Tucker, Willow Green, Kathy Harvey, Terry Tulman and Buddy Funk. He is survived by his sisters Annette, Adele and brother Ritchie. He is also survived by his Lynndale Family, Fay Enquist, Janice Stroesser, Karen Schwandt, Ludo vanPelt, Diane & Jerry McPherson, Ryan McPherson, Shannon Qiodravu and all past and present staff at Lynndale Lodge. Alain moved to Salmon Arm in 1975 and quickly made new friends and family. He was active in the community, cleaning the streets of downtown Salmon Arm, washing Hydro trucks and spreading his smile and humour wherever he went. He was an active member of SACL and later at WHR Day Program.
