Obituary
Charles Theodore "Ted" Taylor, 89, passed away in his home in Phenix City on November 18, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Taylor was born August 12, 1931 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Margaret Hood Taylor. He retired from Tom's Peanut Factory after 35 years of service. Mr. Taylor was a member of Bush Rd Emmanuel Holiness Church. His biggest hobby was woodworking.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and his son, Dr. C. Gary Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving wife of almost 69 years, Katreen "Pete" Taylor of Phenix City, AL; three daughters Charmer (David) Mathis, Jackie Taylor, and Janet (Pete) Nilsen, all of Phenix City, AL. One son, Keith (Dawn) Taylor of Smith Station, AL. Daughter-in-law Barbara W. Taylor. Thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Mr. Taylor's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Mary Simpson PA-C, Dr. David White, Dr. Shane Darrah, Jed Vickers PA-C, Dr. Nicholas Mayfield, DCI Inc. of Phenix City, Kidney Fund, Encompass Home Health and Hospice Care of Eufaula, EMS Care Ambulance and Fire Station 1 in Phenix City.
