He was born on March 26, 1941. He was born and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts. Stephen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17. After 4 years of service he resided on Long Island where he married and raised his 3 daughters. Stephen moved to Spring Lake, NJ in 2012. Stephen was employed by the Bank of NY and LI Trust. He was an avid golfer and member of the Elks club of Manasquan, as well as a parishioner of St Catharine's Church in Spring Lake, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife, Maeve O’Malley, his daughters and sons-in-law, Kerri and Jim O’Shea, Kathy and Tom Donohue, Kristine and Jeff LeJava, his sister Ann McElroy, brother, Christopher Kenefick, his step sons, James O’Reilly, Michael and Melissa O’Reilly and Richard and Megan O’Reilly. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, Jacqueline, Madison, Ewan, Fiona, Noelle, Brendan, Madigan, Connor, Reagan, Dylan, Brenna. Stephen is predeceased by his brother Paul. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 3 pm - 6 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake, NJ.
