Margaret Harwood

Margaret Harwood, 58, Minot, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at a Minot hospital. Margaret was born on April 20, 1962, in Council Bluffs, IA, to Dorothy Louise Phillips and Frank Hall. She was raised in Arizona by her father and step-mother, Sylvia Hall. Margaret was united in marriage with Edgar Harwood in 1981. The couple would divorce for several years, but the love and bond they had together would lead them to remarry in 2004. They would remain married until Ed’s death on August 14, 2012. Grandbabies were Margaret’s pride and joy. She loved to spend time with them and watch them grow and develop as individuals. Margaret also loved being outdoors, but only if it was with family. She loved plants and was known for her green thumb. Margaret was also an excellent cook who loved sewing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her father, Frank Hall, and step-mother, Sylvia Hall; daughter, Donna (Michael) Riley; sons, Monty (Jess) and Nathaniel (Kristin) Harwood; siblings, Irene (Noble) Harris, Angelo (Brenda) Ragnoli, Jennifer Hall, Tracy (Eric) Boehme, Dana (Tim) Bennett,  James (Stacey) Hall, Mike (Tammy) Phillips, Danny Phillips, and Kay (Shirley) Magness; grandchildren, Drake Riley, Lane Harwood, Austin (Shaylee Miller) Riley, Ely Harwood, Landen Harwood, Macaylah Harwood, Joseph Harwood, Levi Harwood,, Tyler Houser, and Sam Lillis; a great-grandbaby due in May that she was ecstatic about; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Dorothy Louis Phillips; foster mother, Ida Richardson; husband, Edgar Harwood; brothers, Joe Hall and Carl Ragnoli; and niece, Jacque Harris. A service will take place at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, in the summer of 2021.
