<p>ESTRELLA, ALEJANDRA (ANDY) FRANCO MALLARI- Alejandra (Andy) Franco Mallari Estrella died peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home in Roswell, NM.</p> <p>Andy was born on March 2, 1927 in San Luis, Pampanga, Philippines to Augustin Mallari & Juliana Franco Mallari.</p> <p>Andy went to school in Tondo, Manila and graduated from Torres High School. She attended Philippine Normal College and graduated as an Elementary School Teacher in 1950. She continued her education at Far Eastern University in Manila where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Emilio Jacinto Elementary School in Tondo, Manila for 17 years.</p> <p>In Oct. 1967, Andy came to the United States and taught at J. W. Oakley School in Brawley, California for 27 years and retired in 1990.</p> <p>On Aug 5, 1968, Andy married David Estrella in Manila, Philippines. They lived in California for 30 years and when they retired; they moved to Roswell, New Mexico in 1998.</p> <p>Andy is survived by her sisters, Anita Motus of Santa Ana, CA; Cora Motus and her husband, Roger Motus of San Juan Capistrano, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews who will truly miss her.</p> <p>Andy is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David P. Estrella, her parents Agustin and Juliana Mallari, her brothers, Gaudencio Mallari, Bernardo Mallari, Vivencio Mallari, her sister, Remedios M. Pamatian, and just recently Gregoria M. Soliman, her parents-in-law Marcelo and Maria Estrella, sister-in-law Felisa E. Silla.
