<p style="text-align: justify;">Todd A Steffes 55, long-time Lincoln, Nebraska resident recently moved&nbsp;back to North Dakota, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020 at Sanford hospital in Fargo.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Todd was born on February 14, 1965 in Fargo, ND; a birthday he shared with his mother Anne.&nbsp; He graduated from Central Cass High School and after graduation, continued his education at North Dakota State University where he earned his bachelor&rsquo;s degree.&nbsp; Todd later joined the United States Army. He was proud of this time in the service and carried the lessons he learned there throughout his life.&nbsp; After working as an agronomist for several years, Todd found his true passion in the medical field as a respiratory therapist, earning his license in 2002.&nbsp; As an RT, Todd respected the immense responsibility of caring for patients and held himself to a very high standard.&nbsp; He had a fulfilling career for over 18 years and touched countless lives.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Aside from work, Todd loved the outdoors and spending time in nature, especially with horses.&nbsp; He held a soft spot for animals and rescued many pets throughout his life.&nbsp; He had a strong intellect and always strove to learn all he could about as much as he could. Due to this, he had a huge collection of books and loved to read and have thought-provoking discussion.&nbsp; He also loved spending time with his dear friend Pam and her grandchildren.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Todd is survived by his mother Anne (Leroy) Hill; sisters Kimberly Kranz and Angela Kolden; aunts Janet Larsen and Patricia Steffes; niece Jessica (Josh) Johnson; nephew Joseph Kolden; dogs Sage and Ginger; and cats Simon and Tom.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">He is preceded in death by his father Francis Steffes, paternal grandparents: Frank Steffes and Gertrude Sauer-Steffes; maternal grandparents: JoHannes and Clara Weerts; 4 aunts: Gerie Harford, Charlotte Wisdorf, Lavonne Turner and Alvina Lucth; and an uncle Larry Larsen.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Due to the health concerns relating to Covid-19, the family will be holding a celebration of Todd&rsquo;s life next spring for extended family and friends.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>West Funeral Home &amp; Life Tribute Center</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>westfuneralhome.com</strong></p>
