Armand Favennec Obituary

Armand Favennec of Plamondon, Alberta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 89 years.

Armand was born on October 26, 1931 to Francois and Jeanne Favennec in Gourin, Alberta and spent most of his life farming the family homestead.

Armand had a brilliant mind and taught himself to be a “jack of all trades”. As a real do-it-yourself type, he learned to fix his own machines, tend to the animals and do electronics work all while tending to the farm. Armand truly led his life to the tune of his motto “The day you stop learning something new, is the day you stop living”.

When Armand was not busy fixing and tinkering at home, he spent his spare time giving back to his community. He served as the president of the Pioneer Club, a director for the Plamondon Co-op, director of the museum, and a director of the AFCA. Over the years Armand donated generously to Plamondon non-profit organizations as well as to the Alberta Cancer Society.

Armand is lovingly survived by his sisters, Rita Ulliac and Annette Maccagno as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Armand was predeceased by his parents Francois & Jeanne, infant sister Annette, brothers in law Albert Ulliac and Tom Maccagno as well as his nephew Gilbert Ulliac.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ron Ulliac, Terry Maccagno, Lorraine Nash.

Pallbearers: Roger Ulliac, Morris Maccagno, Bernard Ulliac, Michelle Maccagno, Marc Maccagno, Nicole Menard.

Final Resting Place, St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the service will be by invitation only.
