Caroline Viola Cuny was born on April 7, 1951 in Pine Ridge, SD to Theodore Elton Cuny and Margaret E. (Tuttle) Cuny. Caroline made her journey to the Spirit World on November 15, 2020 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Caroline is survived by her husband, Anthony Horse Road; daughter, Lynn (Phil Zimiga) Janis of Kyle, SD; sons, Christopher (Claire) Janis of Kyle, SD and Jeremy (Lori) Cuny of Porcupine, SD; siblings, Sharon (Tony) Martin, Ted Cuny and Donna Eagle Bull, all of Porcupine, SD, Jacqueline (Robert) Arpan and Lillian Cuny, both of Rapid City, SD, Madonna Cuny of Pine Ridge, SD, and Connie Cuny of Dante, SD; hunka siblings, Arvol, Ivan, Stanley Jr., Martina, Beatrice, Gladys and Darilee Looking Horse; and grandchildren, Phillip Zimiga, Jr., Marissa Zimiga, Kadin Zimiga, Autumn Zimiga, Angelina Janis, Margaret “Hailey” Cuny, Joshua Cuny, Jr., Arlan Cuny, Ataliya Cuny and Jayalynn Cuny. Caroline was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Cuny; mother, Margaret Cuny; sisters, Carmel Cuny-Mesteth, Rose Cuny and Celeste Cuny; son, Joshua D. Cuny; and hunka parents, Stanley and Cecelia Looking Horse.
