Julie Anne Costello, passed away November 15, 2020, from lung cancer, surrounded by her family in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Anne Cretin and granddaughter Sophia Rauda, both of whom she lived with her final years, Carol, Alyssa, and Taylor Jo Zimmerman of Kansas City, Missouri, brothers Michael (Marjorie), Paul (Nancy), and Jim (Shelley) Costello. Julie was born February 22, 1946, in Trenton, Missouri to her mother, Betty Anderson Costello, and father Edwin Joseph Costello. She was a dedicated mother and distinguished herself as a protective, thoughtful, and generous sister. She enjoyed the care and company of first cousin Cindy Allison Herold, and Doylene Ricketts Costello, over many years. She began her esteemed business career in Kansas City, Missouri with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and rose to a third level executive with AT&T. Her many nieces (especially) and nephews looked to Julie as a role model for her courage, determination, generosity, and love. A memorial service and internment will be held in Trenton, Missouri at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery at a time and date to be determined.
