Inez Collins, age 85, of Berea, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, went to be with Jesus on November 17, 2020. She was born to the late Raymond and Maggie Bethurum.

She was retired from Dresser after 31 ½ years of service. She was a dedicated Christian of the Holiness faith, a Sunday School teacher at Town Hill Holiness Church. In her free time, she enjoyed her church, her family, cooking, shopping, and traveling. She always put the Lord first in her life, a great example she left for us all. She loved everyone she met and always found laughter in each day.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Lopez, her second husband, Preston S. Collins, her daughter Lisa R. Lopez Hasty, one grandson Jeffrey C. Argerbright, one brother, Charles Bethurum, two sisters, Marie Robinson and Leana Smith.

She leaves behind two sons, Roger (Phyllis) Lopez of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, and Steven (Ruth) Collins of Lewisburg, Tennessee; three daughters, Rose (Allen) Hensley of Mt. Vernon, Donna (Fred) Brewer of Brodhead, Kentucky, and Becky Northern of Mt. Vernon; 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, McKinley (Lana) Arnold of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Funeral services will be 2 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be Friday from 12 pm to 2 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Lopez, Joshua Lopez, Tim Argerbright, Jerry Hensley, Kevin Hensley, Jason Northern, and Jonathan Northern.
