Katherine M. Davis Rissler, 92, known to most as “Mammaw” passed away Tuesday afternoon at her residence in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Evans Landing, Indiana to the late Ben and Mary (Didelot) Hendricks and having survived her siblings was the matriarch of the Hendricks family. She was the former owner of Allen’s Pizza in New Albany along with her late husband Dewey P. Rissler and was a longtime member of Wesley Chapel UMC in New Albany. She was a 50 plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star LaBelle Chapter.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Davis) Sears and her husband Scott; her grandchildren Frank “Buddy” Royalty III (Eva), Amanda Lienhart (Bradley), Joshua Sears (Brooklyn) and Allyson Glass (Brent); her great-grandchildren, Logan Lienhart (Ashley Craft), Braydan Lienhart, Eva Ingalls, Jeremiah, Gracie Royalty and Elliana Sears; her sister in law, Gloria Hendricks.
She was preceded in death by her first husband M. Clifford Davis and later husband Dewey P. Rissler and also her 5 brothers and 4 sisters
Visitation will be from 11 AM- 8 PM on Friday at the Oak St. Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes, 1846 E. Oak St. New Albany, IN.
A Celebration of Mammaw’s life will take place at 11 Saturday in the Oak Street Chapel with visitation beginning at 9 AM.
Burial will follow at Rehoboth Cemetery in Laconia, Indiana
