He was preceded in death by his parents.

Monty grew up in Austin, Texas, where he went to high school and college earning a degree from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration, 1953 and Juris Doctor, 1955. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. Monty enjoyed showing and breeding Cocker Spaniels through his early adult life and had many champion breeds. He also enjoyed growing roses and had an extensive award-winning rose garden at his residence in Dallas. Very much a sweet tooth, hard to keep chocolate and ice cream away from him! Monty was an avid traveler and took his wife and children too many places throughout the world. In his later years he visited Mexico quite frequently and thoroughly enjoyed the beaches there. He brought joy to many through his deep spiritual faith and in the teachings of The Course in Miracles and Joel Goldsmith. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Due to Covid restrictions, the family will have a private service.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Dallas Fort Worth Cocker Spaniel Rescue.  SEE SERVICE STREAMING LINK BELOW TO DONATE.
