Fred E. Reed, Sr.

Fred E Reed, Sr. 85 of Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully with family members by his side at 1 PM on November 16, 2020.  Fred was born in DeKalb, Mississippi on July 12, 1935.  He married the love of his life, Yanibe Angarita on March 21, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York at the age of 22.  Fred loved three things in life: his wife, family and deer hunting.  Fred conducted his life and affairs straight as an arrow.  In addition, he was strong like an oak tree for his wife and family.  Fred is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yanibe Reed, his three sons, Roger Eugene Reed, Fred Eugene Reed, Jr. and David John Reed, his 6 grandchildren, Sarah Hunter, Nicole Rezac, Matthew Reed, Jonathan Reed, Lauren Williams, Freddie Reed III and 7 great grandchildren, Noah Rezac, Lennon Hunter, Grayson Williams, Noah Williams, Lucy Williams, Thomas Williams, Jr and Copeland Reed and three sisters, Hazel Sullivan, Jeanette Wright and Dolly Kilpatrick.  The family wishes memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
