Robin Douglas Shaddox, 93, of Russellville, died Monday, November 16, 2020, at his home.  A son of Douglas and Effie Jane (Nichols) Shaddox, he was born December 10, 1926, in Lurton, AR.  He married the love of his life, Linda (Ellard) Shaddox, and they spent 53 wonderful years together before she went home to be with the Lord in 2013.

Robin graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry.  Following his military career in the Army during World War II and the Air Force during the Korean War, Robin went to work for the U.S. Forest Service.  He had a deep love & respect for the forest lands and their care & preservation.

Robin was a long-time faithful member of First Baptist Church of Russellville, and a Gideon.  He was a gentle, kind and thoughtful man.  He enjoyed anyone’s joke or funny story, and cherished the fellowship he had with all his friends and faith family.  He loved to garden, fish, and was an avid bee keeper for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda; a brother, Carl B. Shaddox; and a sister, Dorothy Shaddox Cutherbertson.

His family remaining to honor & remember his beloved legacy include his son, Douglas Walsworth (Mary) of Lake Charles, LA; his two daughters, Beth Shaddox of Dover, and Carmen Campbell (Joe) of Pineville, LA; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Shaddox of Tahlequah, OK; a sister, Joan Shaddox Isom (Vernon) of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
