Vera M. Rainwater

Vera M. Rainwater, age 83, of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Vera was born August 20, 1937 the daughter of Arthur and Louise(Scott) McDowell. On April 3, 1959 in Brumley, Missouri, Vera was united in marriage to Mack Rainwater who preceded her in death July 18, 2020. They had shared 61 years together at the time of his death. Vera worked for Galva Foam in Camdenton for many years. She loved her husband Mack dearly and enjoyed being his wife. She was an excellent cook and loved when family and friends would stop by to chat. She was a member of Glover Chapel and was very dedicated to attend. Vera was a loving and devoted wife to Mack and a caring sister, aunt, neighbor and friend to all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished by many. Vera is survived by her sister, Louise Mawyer of Linn Creek, Missouri; her nephew, Preston Mawyer, Jr., and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives, and many friends. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Louise McDowell; her husband Mack Rainwater; her brothers, Gail, Bernard, Jr., Vernon, Melbourn, Delmar, and Malcolm McDowell; and her sister, Beulah Bowlin. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 20, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 9:00-10:00 am, prior to services at the funeral home. The family requests that those who attend the services follow the guidelines of the CDC and local health department by maintaining social distancing. Masks are not required but can be worn at your own discretion. Interment will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Kaiser, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Glover Chapel or New Hope Cemetery.
