Stephen Michael Neff

In Memory of: Stephen Michael Neff Went to Heaven: 11/12/2020 Date of birth: 7/29/1949 Born in: Denver, CO Resided in: New Castle, CO Steve’s Obituary Our father, Steve, passed away surrounded by his family on November 12, 2020 after suffering cardiac arrest. In true fashion, Steve fought until the very end. Steve was a natural leader, one who could inspire others to be their best version of themselves. He didn’t hesitate to provide any resources necessary for someone in need or to contribute to furthering someone’s skills. He had a strong faith in God, passion for people, and was genuine, honest and full of integrity. His only wish was to hear our Father in heaven say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”, which we know he heard. The unbounded, unconditional love of our father’s giant heart will be missed by every person he ever met. Steve was born on July 29, 1949 to Howard and Shirley Neff in Denver, CO. After graduating from Hinkley High School (Aurora, CO), he continued his education receiving his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Technology from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Steve went on to serve as an officer in the United States Air Force. Steve began and built West Valley Insulation into a successful company that he operated until the end. He built relationships with his builders based on integrity and respect and was so quick to share his gratitude for their loyalty. His reputation was unsurpassed in the industry due to his honesty, work ethic and commitment. The fruitfulness of his dedication allowed Steve to live out his lifelong bucket list dreams. He was very proud of what he created, as he wanted nothing more to pass a legacy on for generations to come. In January 2017 Promise Ranch fulfilled Steve’s largest dream for himself, his children, and grandchildren, a gorgeous 37-acre parcel of land with a river running through it. The memories that have been shared there with our dad and family, friends and everyone who has had the honor of visiting, is something one can never forget. Steve was preceded by his son, Joshua Pershing Neff, and his daughter, Hillary Lynn Turner. He is survived by his mother Shirley Grondahl, sister Marsha Lili, brother Tom Neff (Janis), fiancé Carol, who was to become Carol Neff on December 26, 2020, mother of his children Jo Ann Wilkinson, daughter Stephanie Oelze (Michael), daughter Jodie Walko (Cary), son Zachary Neff (Angela), daughter Megan Hennington (Eric), and grandchildren Cameron Neff-Turner (Kate), Macey Westbrook, Aiden O’Donnell, Joshua Westbrook, Foster Neff-Turner, Alexis Westbrook, Sidney Westbrook, Eden Oelze, Jaxson Hennington, Hudson Walko and Caleb Hennington. In Lieu of flowers and as a vow to allow our Dads legacy to live on, donations to Promise Ranch are Humbly appreciated.
