Rev. Fred V. Tyler

Born on December 22, 1941, in Paterson, N.J. to Lucy Tyler and Nogie Khan, Rev. Fred V. Tyler better known as Peaches came into the world with a kindness in his heart, guidance for those who needed it, and a mighty voice that filled every room with Gods praise. Raised and preceded in death by Jewels and Irene Thomas, Sister Carlotta C. Tyler, and Sister and Brother-in-law Edward Richardson jr. and Goldie Mae Richardson; Fred was loved beyond measure and his love of God nourished. Serving as an Assistant Pastor at Good Shepherd Baptist Church location 135 Lafayette Street in Paterson, NJ Rev. Tyler taught Bible Study helping others understand the word of God. As a powerhouse singer, Rev. Tyler would shout so loud the Angels in Heaven were sure to have heard his praise of them. Generous and good-natured, Rev. Tyler extended his hand to all who crossed his path; stranger or long time acquaintance he treated each one with respect and dignity regardless of their station in life. As a City of Paterson employee, Rev. Tyler assisted all who entered his office with housing placement and information to set them on the correct path, no situation was too difficult for him that he couldnt give all of himself to ensure that his clients had a roof over their heads. Rev, Fred V. Tyler will be remembered for more than his sweet voice. He will be remembered as a loving brother, doting Uncle, devoted Pastor, dedicated employee, Father to those who had none, and loving friend that will be dearly missed. Rev. Tyler leaves behind his brothers Timothy Tyler and Allen Tyler, Niece Sydney Tyler, Niece Ruth Bailey, Great Grand Nephew Nathan Ali, Great Grand Niece Dominique Ali, two time Great Grand Nephews Nacier Ali-Diez, and Devaughan Owusu Koranteng, two time Great Grand Niece Leah Owusu Koranteng, and a host of family and friends. In the words of Rev. Fred Tyler, "May God bless you, and Heaven always smile on you with the deepest appreciation."
