Mr. James Byrd, 88, of Auburn, passed away November 16^th. Visitation will be 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Friday, November 20^th at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery, Brundidge, Alabama.

Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Merlyn F. Byrd. He is survived by his children: Fred (Cindy) Byrd, Tony (Valerie) Byrd; grandchild: Allen Byrd; siblings: Keith Byrd, Betty Poole (Dr. Howard); along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregiver, Victoria Cobb who was a special angel to both Mr. and Mrs. Byrd and the whole family.

Flowers are welcome, and the family also adds donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Mr. Byrd’s name.
