Mrs. Lucy May Hardy Obituary

On Monday, November 16, 2020, the angels were dispatched to come and get our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend and take her to her eternal home,

 

Mrs. Lucy Mae Crudup Hardy was born in Franklinton, NC on November 15, 1946, to the late Willie J. and Lucy Ella Crudup and was educated in North Carolina before moving to Virginia in 1958 and continued  her education at Huntington High School.

 

Mae met and married the love of her life McRoy Hardy March 1963. Mae as she was so affectionately called had a special bond with her children and pet grandchild “Isaiah” lived a quiet and simple life.

 

Mae was predeceased by her parents, Willie James and Lucy Ella Crudup O’Neal and her husband of  sixty (60) years McRoy Hardy. 

 

She is survived by her three children: her son Victor Hardy and two loving and caring daughters Anita Hardy and Lisa Hardy, Isaiah Hardy (pet grandchild), one loving sister, Synthia Crudup Randolph,, four loving brothers, William Glenn Lewis (Ruth), Willie James (Junebug) Crudup (Dianna), Don  Harvey Crudup (Penny) and Aubrey Epps McQueen  (Mary), one uncle, George Lewis, Winston-Salem, NC, three aunts, Novella Branch and Etta Clemmons, Hampton, VA, Ella Mae Crudup, Franklinton, NC, two brothers - in - law, Adell Hardy, Suffolk, VA, Ivory Lee Hardy, California and sister-in-law Ida Ruth Hardy, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

Viewing for Mrs. Hardy will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Sixth House, Inc., 2003 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton, VA.

 

Services will take place immediately following the viewing at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 in the Sixth House, Inc.by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr., 

 

Live streaming of Mrs.Hardy  service will be available for viewing on Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple Facebook Page.  

 

It is the desire of the Hardy family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
