Like all great novels there’s a beginning, middle, and end. In the beginning Wallace Joe Lyon was born November 23, 1944. He grew up in the magic Valley, Idaho. He graduated from Gooding High School. He then wanted to play Battleship so he had to go to the extreme and use a real one. He joined the U.S. Navy and was on the USS Hamner for four years. He then came back to his home for awhile to have two great daughters. Then he headed west to Eugene, Oregon where he lived till he retired and returned to Idaho to stay. He enjoyed his books and coffee till his passing on November 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great granddaughter. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Wiklund (Scott) and Zelda Lyon Guzman (Rosie), two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family services will be held under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home. *
