Ruby Mayo, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday November 16, 2020. Ruby was born July 14, 1926 in Logan, WV to her late parents Gladys and Harlan Chafin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill of 58 years. Surviving are her 2 children Tom Mayo (Hillary) of Moore SC, and Pam Eschleman (Joe) of Hebron, KY. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Andy Mayo, (Sarah) Victoria Eschleman Ahrens (Andy), Matt Mayo (Christina), Michelle Eschleman Fell (Brian). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Ruby was a homemaker who loved her church, golf, WV football/basketball games, family and friends. She also loved spending time at the Parkway in Justice Addition with many friends for breakfast and dinner. She was a member of the Nighbert Memorial Methodist Church for over 60+years. She also was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. A special thank you goes to Villaspring Nursing Home in Erlanger, Ky who took very good care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, any contributions can be sent to the Nighbert Memorial Church, Logan, WV. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Governor's Guidelines regarding large gatherings, only 25 persons may be allowed in the facility at one time and social distancing and face coverings are required. Please plan your attendance accordingly to help stop the spread of Covid-19 and to help keep the family and community safe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 3:30 PM at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Friends may call on the family from 2:30 – 3:30 on Saturday at the funeral home. Honaker Funeral Home in Logan is in charge of arrangements.
