Obituary
Robert “Bob” Dierking, 72, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, MO. Robert James Dierking was born at his family’s homestead in Japan, MO, on December 10, 1947, to George and Elise Christine (Schebaum) Dierking. He grew up and attended country schools in both Seminary and Japan, later graduating from Sullivan High School, class of 1965. He went to work for Ramsey Corporation as a young man. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Kathy Loless, on July 3, 1976 at First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan. To their union two children were born: Chrissie and David. Together, they raised their family in Sullivan and were dedicated and active members of the First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan for over 25 years. They then moved on to serve in other areas of ministry in both Missouri and Ohio, the latest being First Assembly Church in Saint Peters, MO. Bob retired from Ramsey/Dana Corp in 2006 due to health reasons. He had overcome multiple illnesses and accidents in his life with sheer strength, determination and unwavering trust in the Lord. No matter where he was, he was a faithful servant and was always willing to help wherever the need may have been. Through the years, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially loved gas engines. Up until his passing, he was still actively serving Vice President of the Illinois-Missouri Tractor and Engine Club. Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy Dierking, of St. Charles, MO; his two children: Chrissie Dierking and David Dierking & wife, Jennifer, all of St. Charles, MO; two grandchildren: Josiah and Kacyn Dierking; one brother, Ervin Dierking of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Ina Bates and husband, Charlie, of Sullivan, MO; a sister-in-law, Mary Price of Washington, MO; a niece, Jean (Dierking) Gentges, of Washington, MO; three aunts: Rovina Schebaum, Willie Halmick and Mabel Taylor, all of Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elise Dierking; a brother, Eldo Dierking; and two aunts: Mary Kay Chapel and Mattie Knopfel. Kacyn joined his Grampy in Heaven on December 9,2020. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan, MO, with Pastors Jeremy Mount and Kyle Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, prior to the service at First Assembly of God Church.
